About Wild Wisdom
These unique "Wild Wisdom" workshops came about when Anna and Wynter first met in March 2007. Having known each other
well by reputation only, their first meeting was no coincidence, although completely unplanned. Realising that they
were both wanting to achieve similar goals, Wynter and Anna started creating workshops where they could work together,
using their complementary skills and techniques in order to enhance their teachings. The plight of South African
wildlife being close to their hearts, they choose projects which can be supported by their work, through funds and
raising awareness.
Anna Breytenbach
Anna Breytenbach is a Cape-based professional animal communicator who has received advanced training
through the Assisi International Animal Institute in California, USA. She’s been practising for eight years
in America, Canada and South Africa with both domestic and wild animals.
Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, she holds a degree in Psychology, Economics and Marketing from
the University of Cape Town. During her international career in Human Resources and Information Technology that
took her to Australia and then Silicon Valley and Seattle in America, she lived out her passion for wildlife and
conservation by volunteering at various rehabilitation and educational centres.
Amongst other things she has been a cheetah handler for ten years, served on volunteer committees for snow
leopard, cheetah and mountain lion conservation, worked at wolf and horse sanctuaries and is director of a wild
cat rescue non-profit organisation in the US. She has participated in wild wolf tracking expeditions in the Rocky
Mountains and has mentored children and adults in nature awareness programmes.
Anna is also a qualified and experienced master training facilitator, focusing on bringing forth participants’
skills through coaching and mentoring in a practical manner. She works with domestic pets and wildlife, and
runs workshops around South Africa and in America. Her pro bono work focuses on conservation projects such as
white lion reintroduction, baboon rehabilitation, whale and dolphin research, elephant management and predator
conservation.
Anna's goal is to raise awareness and advance the relationships among human and non-human animals,
on both the personal and spiritual levels. In her communication and conservation work, she guides people
to deepen their connection with all species in an honouring manner, and strives to live her personal mission
of being a voice for the animals.
Wynter Worsthorne
After spending five years in the UK working as a professional animal communicator, Wynter is now based back in
Cape Town, South Africa. Although her formal training is in art and design, she has always had a great connection
with animals and volunteered with animal organisations from a young age.
She started developing her ability to "talk" with the animals after meeting and training with
Amelia Kinkade, American author and animal communicator. For the last eight years Wynter has been helping humans and
their animal friends find a better understanding of one another. She started teaching workshops in the UK in 2004 and
now teaches people across Southern Africa, UK and Europe how to develop their natural skill of communicating with animals.
Wynter works closely with various wildlife organisations in South Africa, is a trustee of the Baboon Matters Trust,
is affiliated to the Global White Lion Protection Trust and, along with Anna is involved in Dolphin and Whale
research.
Wynter's aim is to bridge the gap between humans and the natural world, to help heal the great separation sickness
which causes such suffering to animals and human animals alike. She strives to help people realise that we are all part
of a great oneness of being, and are able work and live together in harmony with nature.
